Abstract

Modeling and simulation of molecular structures represent a much faster and increasingly reliable alternative to experimental research. The paper presents significant aspects regarding modeling and simulation in bioinformatics. In this frame, it looks at possible applications, components of simulation systems, simulation steps and perspectives, simulation algorithms and modeling approaches for simulation of complex three dimensional protein structures.
