Abstract

In order to promote active and interactive learning in medicine, the Laboratory for computer-based teaching and studying systems in medicine Heidelberg created CAMPUS, a program of multimedia medical cases for students. The aim of this Software is the development of a system for the computer-based study in a reformed medicine, where the problem-based work with real medical cases and the individual study play an important role. Anytime and anyplace, the student can use the case-data from this database and systematic data of virtual libraries from the World Wide Web, in order to increase his/her competence in medical knowledge-management.
