ATLAS – An Example of Applying Databases in Medicine

Abstract

In the last few years it was discussed about the importance of applying database applications in medicine. “Atlas” is a solution for strategic management of an anti-diabetes center made in 1999. The database contains all the information referring at the diabetes patient. The application was made using Borland Delphi 5 Professional Edition and the used database engine was Paradox 7. The time showed that “Atlas” is a viable solution for diabetes specialists.
