DIASTAL – A Client Server Database Application for Laparoscopic Diagnosis and Staging in Abdominal Cancers

The application DIASTAL is part of the project “Laparoscopic Diagnosis and Staging in Abdominal Cancers” founded by Romanian National Authority for Scientific Research, the Program CEEX 2005. The goal of this paper is to manage the information related to this important medical project, concerning patient database, development of some study protocols, like the study of accuracy of laparoscopic method for diagnosis and staging of abdominal cancers and the study of the value of laparoscopy in improvement of abdominal cancer management, in terms of cost/efficiency and patient quality of life. The application was developed using Delphi6 and the database engine was SQL Server 2000.
